Privacy Policy
Learn to Earn (“the App”) is a parent-managed family chore and rewards app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how we treat it. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
Who this App is for
The App is designed for families. A parent or guardian sets up the family, manages kids’ profiles, awards stars, and approves reward requests. Children use the App under parent supervision. We do not operate a social network, stranger chat, or ads aimed at kids.
Information stored on your device
For version 1, family data is stored locally on the device (not in a Learn to Earn cloud account):
- Child display names and star balances
- Chore and reward settings your family chooses
- Star earn/spend history and pending approval requests
- Optional chore proofs: photos, short voice notes, or text notes (when a chore asks for them)
- Optional reward images or links a parent adds
- Parent PIN (stored on device to gate parent settings)
Optional photos, voice notes, and text proofs stay on the device for parents to review. We do not sell children’s personal information.
Purchases
Family Unlock is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) when offered. Payment details are handled by Apple or Google under their privacy policies. We receive purchase status needed to unlock adding your own kids’ names; we do not receive your full payment card number.
Camera, photos, and microphone
The App may ask for camera, photo library, or microphone access only when a chore or parent feature needs proof or an image. Access is optional; you can deny permission and use other chores or proofs. Usage descriptions are shown by iOS/Android when permission is requested.
What we do not do
- No social feed or messaging with strangers
- No third-party advertising to kids in the App
- No sale of personal information
- No child account emails required for the core star chart
Analytics and crash data
The App does not include third-party advertising or tracking SDKs for marketing. Apple, Google, or build/distribution partners may collect standard device diagnostics according to their own policies when you install or update the App.
Children’s privacy (COPPA-minded design)
Parents control setup, approvals, and purchases. Kids cannot complete Family Unlock. We design the App so children’s star-chart data stays on the family device for v1. If you believe a child has provided information inappropriately, contact us using the support address below and we will help you delete on-device data (uninstalling the App removes local App data on that device).
Data deletion
Because v1 data is on-device, uninstalling Learn to Earn removes the App’s local family data on that device. You can also use in-App settings (such as reset demo data, where available) to clear demo content. Purchases remain tied to your Apple ID / Google account and can be restored after reinstall.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes (for example, if we add optional cloud sync later). We will post the updated date on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
